A Ram's Day
Today was going pretty good – until…. our breeder ram (Champion) decided to make a change in my day.
When I was bringing the ewes into the barn from the pasture at the end of the day, the ewes seemed to not remember what to do!! They went the wrong way and eventually I got them into the barn! However, I wanted to try an old trick I learned. I was bringing the ewes back out to the pasture when all of a sudden Champion, the ram, comes running down. “How did he get out??” Turns out Champion is very good at getting out of the halter! I hurried to shuffle the ewes back into the stall and grab Champion as he tried to go into the stall with the ewes! Thankfully I got the sheep in the way I wanted, and Champion didn’t get all of his grain reward!
